We understand the Pacific Northwest.

Life in the PNW. Beautiful. And a little demanding.

We love it here. The water, the forests, the changing seasons, and those glorious summer days that make the long, wet winters worthwhile.

But our homes have to work pretty hard.

Months of rain and moisture give way to surprisingly hot, dry summers. Leaves and pine needles collect in places we didn't know existed. Moss takes hold, while moisture, salt air, and the summer sun take their toll on finishes, inside and out. Spiders claim every available corner (especially around the lake), and freshly washed windows never seem to stay that way for long. And just when we've got everything under control, an unexpected freeze threatens our pipes.

Caring for a home here means more than keeping up with the seasons. Small issues can become bigger projects, repairs can lead to improvements, and sometimes it's simply time to make a change. Whether it's routine care, an unexpected repair, or a thoughtfully planned remodel, we believe it all deserves the same attention, experience, and care.

And the more substantial the home, the more there is to look after. The planning, the attention, the time it all takes. We can help you get some of that back.

Because caring for a home is really about caring for the people who live there.

Thoughtfully different. By design.

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, growing up on the islands of British Columbia before moving to Seattle to attend college.

My career began in interior design, introducing me to some of Seattle's most substantial homes and established neighborhoods. It was an opportunity to develop an appreciation for beautiful architecture, thoughtful design, fine craftsmanship, and the extraordinary details that make each home unique.

That foundation eventually led me into residential construction, where I spent more than a decade leading a team devoted to caring for and improving some of Seattle's most distinctive residences.

Along the way, I learned that the best work doesn't begin with a project. It begins with a relationship.

Getting to know a home, understanding the people who live there, and earning their trust over time changes everything. Small repairs become thoughtful improvements. One project leads to another. And eventually, you're not simply someone's contractor. You’re a valued partner. You’re a part of their team.

That's the thinking behind Black Sheep.

I wanted to build a company where those relationships come first. Where experience and good judgment matter, every home receives thoughtful attention, and clients know they have someone in their corner.

Care is our craft.
